First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!:D to Kelly [subluxate], who’ve I’ve known basically since the start of my LJ life, who supported my work from the get go, who has encouraged me more than she probably realises - I hope you have a fabulous day, and get lots of gifties [there’s a card on its way to you, I’m sorry it will be so late xox]
Next, it’s not a meme, but I was struck with the desire to post songs that remind me of “fandom”, some fandoms in particular, and perhaps have you tell me yours, or post them on your journals if you feel the need.
Desperado - The Eagles - M*A*S*H .
Somebody made a fanvid of Hawkeye/Various with this song, and now, whenever I hear it I think of him. It’s probably, in my opinion, one of the most fitting songs for his character. The character I perceive him to be, at least. The whole “Queen of Diamonds” and “Queen of Hearts” thing fits well too. Not because he’s a queen, because, you know. Cards. Poker.

I was never actually in any Remember the Titans fandom, but I love this movie so much, and I love the epic friendship that was Julian/Gerry. This song is played when Julian goes to Gerry’s house for the first time, a police officer pulls up to congratulate Julian on a good game. “Man, your taxi had a siren!”

Haha, again, not in any fandom but. Am I the only one who loved this movie? And these boys? I wouldn’t be surprised. This played on cable/satellite for a little while back in, uh, 2000? I don’t know why. He’s such an arsehole, and yet. He made that show for me.

I don’t mean a song fic, I just mean, it was inspiration. Or something. And for the record, as MUCH as I love Ewan, the Ewan/Hayden pairing pales so, so badly in comparison to Jared/Jensen. It was on a promo, or an episode, or both? I can’t remember exactly. I heard it there first, before I saw the newly-vamped video clip with all the celebrities lip-syncing. It’s a great song. Apt. Others songs that remind me of SPN are Bad Company and Wayward Son, which I have if anyone’s interested. Kripke and Co make a mean score, people.

It’s just, so them, isn’t it? Nothing was ever certain, always fleeting, always desperate. If I was the song fic kind of girl, I’d do that.

This is JP/C’s signature song. It was used, I think, during one of their earliest ‘coming togethers’ which makes sense because it fits perfectly, lyric wise. I’ve been pretty neglectful of these two, I’ll admit. Luke/Noah has been my main source of Gay Soap Opera entertainment. Another song that reminds me of them is a song called Say It’s Possible, because of this vid. It’s an awesome vid. Great song.
