Well, with Reid, theres the fact that he's so socially incompetent. He knows a lot about human interaction in theory, but seems to know next to nothing about how to put it to practical use. That's really the best I can think of. Also, with Morgan there's the fact that he has a furios temper and at times a short fuse, like at the end of Somebody's watching, where Reid asks him if there has ever been a woman he's wanted to be with for more than one night, and Morgan goes: "You callin' me a dog, man?"
I know the whole 'incredibly inteligent geek' thing isn't new, especially in crime shows, but Reid is fascinating, and captivating. I'll admit, while the show itself is enthralling, it was Reid who first had me return. Somebody's Watching was a great episode to gauge his character, and his struggle to have something normal that combats with his desire for [obsession for?] and dedication to his work. I think it was the Popular Kids that we found out he was having the dreams? So torn up that basic human condition could get in the way of his work.
Confession: Always disliked Thorpe. Probably because I've always been terribly bored with swimming. He might be great in the pool, but I wouldn't know, and he certainly doesn't win my heart away from it either. He just, irks me. Still: good luck to him, hopefully he cna find a job away from the camera.
And yeah, so tragic what happened with Belinda Emmett. She seemed such a lovely lady, and with everything she'd fought off I really thought she was going to be fine. It's still so surreal.
