I'm actually not sure how to answer this one, because I'm usually the one who is late to the party. I can be a sheep as far as TV watching goes. Not necessarly mainstream TV, but things that friends or LJ friends love personally. Fandom is how I got into Firefly, due South, Criminal Minds, Supernatural ... haha, basically EVERYTHING.
I don't have many friends who are into White Collar - that I know of - and I would definitely recommend that. And I've only seen a handful of episodes. The main character is not only a stunning man, but he just has this personality that draws you and all the people on the show into him.
Also, NCIS:LA. It's not an AWESOME show and it will never be as good as its predecessor, but it sort of sucker punches you with it's cleverness and wit sometimes. And has insurmountable amounts of gay. PLUS, Devon Sawa guest starred in the last episode and I had a love affair with Devon Sawa when I was about 15 os it got a billion bonus points for that.
