Frannie, he likes you.
<3 DUE SOUTH: A while ago I saw a post that talked about Fraser and Frannie, and how Fraser cared about Frannie but would never do anything about it because he knew how Ray Vecchio felt about it. Which got me to thinking. Surprise, surprise.
First I would like to say, I LOVE Frannie. I really do, and I think Fraser would be lucky to have her, but, if she had not been Ray’s sister would there have been love there? I mean, she loved the IDEA of him, but he frustrated the hell out of her. He felt uncomfortable around her, and the only time he was genuine about his emotions RayK had to help him out.
When he said he cared about her, liked her, what does that mean? To me it means he thinks she’s a great woman [as he had said numerous times], and he doesn’t want her to get hurt, and he wants what’s best for her.
I mean, sure, when it all comes down to it, Fraser/Woman =/= Fail. But when he truly cared about a woman he was very expressive, he had a hard time dealing with his feelings and/or keeping them in check. Victoria is an OBVIOUS exhibit here, but there was also Janet. Personally I think all the other women he showed affection for was because he was starved of intimacy. Thatcher, for example.
I don’t even want to try and begin to understand what Fraser/Thatcher was about.
Anyway, Frannie. I just don’t see it. I don’t think RayV was their hurdle at all. I mean, he even said that if he wanted her to be with anyone, he’d like it to be Fraser. He trusted Fraser. Was Fraser just too good a man to cross that line? Or did he not see Frannie that way at all. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
<3 You know how there was a convention and someone said that the biggest misconception of fans is probably that we all think they’re ‘into’ each other. Then Jared said we were delusional, and some other name that made people feel a bit, irky.
Well, did anyone make icons? I mean like, a picture of them ogling each other and text that says I AM NOT DELUSIONAL. Or something? Haha. I want one.
<3 On that note, I just want to say I am happy Jensen is getting engaged, because it means he’s finally found someone that he can see a future with, and obviously treats him well. I think Danneel is gorgeous, she seems like a lovely woman, and I hope it turns out for the very best, just. Excuse me if this is the first and last post regarding it. I’m just kind of, indifferent to it, you know? I’m cool if you want to rejoice over it; I hope you’re cool that I don’t.
