I saw it on slumber 's LJ.  I went to the old website address.  Everything is gone.

It might be a glitch... but...

DUUUUDE, could the legendary Harry Potter Lexicon really be GONE?

Okay, I've been enlightened.  The Lexicon is just changing domains.  It's not gone, just moving.

That was still weird for the few moments when I wondered if it was true.

I had problems accessing it a week or so ago, and didn't know what was going on. If it is gone, I'll understand that it's because SVA is a big poo-face, but as well, apart from it being his site... I actually used it a lot for reference. Are there other resource time-lines out there that you know about, by chance?

Didn't they get in trouble for some sort of copyright violation? I was reading something a few months ago that said Rowling was getting into some fight with the owner of the Lexicon or something. I can't really remember.

The fight between Steve and JKR wasn't about the Lexicon website - it was because Steve wanted to publish a printed book version of the Lexicon, and JKR said that's where she had to draw the line. It was about him publishing a book, not the website.

Well, it's not doing it very efficiently if that is the case. No advance warning, no heads up to anyone about down time, just the weird thing with the random commercial links...
The regulars and other visitors deserved more than that!
