I'm dying for the next chapter! I'm wondering if his body attempting to reject the drug(was in the novelization) will affect the effectiveness of the serum. Poor Bones. I'll bet this will eat him up. Possibly have flashbacks to the shuttlecraft crash.

Huh... I didn't read the novelization. Was it any good? Who wrote it? Do you think I should read it before I continue writing this?

It's the novelization of the movie by Alan Dean Foster. Same guy who wrote the 1st movie book. It doesn't really have much extra in it. It's freakishly true to he movie and way way too much description making it very long winded. A very difficult read. The only comments that would pertain to your story in making a difference is McCoy's comment to Jim when he wakes up from his coma ( ... )

Oh, I HATE Alan Dean Foster's writing. I've hated every book of his that I've tried to read. Can't stomach it. Thank you for sharing that bit of info so I don't have to read the whole thing, though. And it makes me glad that I'm working along the same general lines as canon, even if it's the novelization. I could tweak what I've got slightly to make it work with canon, although some of what I see in that section doesn't work with the way I see Bones, nor the way I view the theoretical serum working in a biochemical sense. But hey, I've always been a stickler for details. :D

Anyway, thank you again! An interesting bit of info to consider. :D

I know, right? It took me two weeks to try and read it and I only did it to see if there was extras that the movie didn't have. There weren't any. It was so long-winded and horrific. It was a waste of $14 and my time. I was disappointed.

I don't know why they let Foster write these things. I don't know why anyone reads his writing. He sucks. It's... really sad. I should write the novelizations. Yes, I think I should.

I think that'd be awesome but time consuming and a lot of work! I'm just dying for the next chapter of this installment. :)
