Ugghh...
So I'm sick. AGAIN. I was in the hospital briefly for tests (a CT scan). AGAIN. It's not as bad this time, though, at least in the short-term. There's some inflammation and thickening in various parts of my gut, specifically the small bowel and illeum. There's several possible causes, but the most likely and most desirable is a viral infection. I'm on two antibiotics, an antispasmodic, and Nexium (and one of the antibiotics tastes HORRIBLE--it's like poisoned brussel sprouts or something). On the bright side, I'm feeling better and hope to be back to class on Wednesday (I haven't gone since Tuesday). On the 28th I'm scheduled to go in for a local x-ray to see if there's still any inflammation/thickening of the lining. If there is, they say they'll do a colonoscopy and biopsy, to check for Crohn's (also called crone's) disease. Joy.
