Class last night was lovely. We did the Pisa combo, then touches back to Sera Cyclone from last week, then fluttered back and forth between the two, and during a particularly quick song we transitioned into drills, then back into the combos.
Good stuff. Gives me ideas for future teaching.
Went over solo dancing stuff once I got everyone ushered out the door. I fully expect Festival to be a disaster. For one, it's fast. Really fast - perhaps a bit too fast for fire fans. I'm guessing I'll probably need to take it half time, which won't be nearly as interesting. Secondly, I have no idea where my fire fans are. Not in any of the places I thought I'd put them, and not in any of the places I looked.
Not good. Hopefully I can do a really good house sweep this evening, but....
My pieces for St. Louis feel mostly good. If I keep working them, even once daily, they should be excellent. Should be. One song might get chopped though. Need to work on lock drill layers as well.
Also, only three more weeks at YogaPatch, then the Cabaret teacher, whoever she may be, takes over. Disappointing, I was really hoping to do a full four week session to conclude - on the other hand the timing leaves me the entire week before Fred & Friends obligation free - except for cleaning the house for company I won't be here to entertain.
Also also, have my first two official registrants for
Salon! Yay!
