Happy Children's Day!
The school celebrated Children's Day yesterday, with a family day at the Hort Park. We were all supposed to meet at the Arch Bridge for a walk at 8.30 but due to traffic, we were slightly late. As we ran through the hort park to get to the bridge, YX started throwing a major tantrum. She recalled that she saw caterpillars on the ground when we were there the last time and simply absolutely refused to walk by herself. We had to carry her while she screamed her head off. When we got there at about 8.45am, most the children in her class has already gone far ahead already.

Thankfully, she agreed to walk by herself. Her motivation this time is to look for Liu Laoshi, as I told her that we had to walk really fast to catch up with her. :D We finally caught up with Liu Laoshi at the mid point, where she was directing the group to the Henderson Waves. We took the short cut up by walking up the stairs to liu laoshi and she happily posed with liu laoshi :D
We continued on to the Henderson Waves and she happily walked on to look for her other friends.
When we climbed up the steep slope to the Henderson Waves, she raced me to the top and happily declared herself the champion!
She was very happy to see her friends!

They met up with ZN on the way back.. and the four held hands
It was so cute to see the gals holding hands and whispering to each other, almost in conspiracy, and calling out to each other to wait for the each other.. :D

When we got to the park, YX was happy to play with her friends at the bubble machine!

She refused to eat her lunch box which the school provided and just ran and ran at the open field with her frens. We went back to the office to freshen up and CW sent her home after that. I had to go for a company lunch and didn't go back with them According to CW, she was so hungry that she took out the lunch box in the car and ate up 2 nuggets, and one small cupcake on the way home. Then she ate a bowl of rice with soup when she got home!! The 2 hours walk must have made her really hungry.
It was fun to watch the kids grow up together. Hope she has a happy childhood and Happy Children's Day!
