A/N: Sorry, I'm a little late. Enjoy reading! ^^

FROM CHAPTER 2:

“The Choi’s son is none other than Choi Siwon. The Lee daughter, whom he considers his favorite, is Lee Sungmin.”

Kyuhyun’s jaw dropped and eyes widened. Seohyun got up and swung her bag to her shoulder.

“Now tell me, Kyu-oppa, how are you going to make a move if your rival is indeed your one and only rival in our own ‘elite world’?”

~o~

It was getting difficult and it wasn’t really funny. The Cho family and the Choi family were friends until they die. They had been partners in almost everything. Meanwhile, the Cho and the Seo family were also in good terms but they were not really that powerful together. Just when the Cho family was going to experience a crisis, it was the Choi who helped them too but, that time, it was obviously the Lee family indirectly helping the Cho since the Choi family too was in danger of falling.

No matter how Kyuhyun would put it, it was damn obvious.

Siwon is ‘sort-of’ engaged to Sungmin.

Seohyun was right anyway that maybe they are not engaged or whatever, but their relationship was too obvious, even a math professor knows what is that.

Kyuhyun sighed as he looked up the ceiling of his room when the door opened.

“Young master,” said the maid, “your father calls for you.”

“Tell him I’ll be there in a minute.”

~o~

It was too cold for an autumn night and Sungmin was on her way home from the grocery shop. She had carried supplies and food for one week and didn’t want to hail a taxi or take a bus. She just wanted to walk even though it’s night time. She wasn’t afraid anyway. A black belter, she can handle whoever comes in her way. She scanned her area as she hummed the song playing in her iPod.

She didn’t notice the figure behind her.

She couldn’t hear any footsteps obviously because of her blasting sounds. Still she looked back and forth, but no one was there. Seoul can be a very dangerous place at night. When she finally reached her apartment, she maintained calm and relaxed as she searched for her keys.

“Hey.”

A loud scream.

“Oh, shit, sorry, Siwon,” Sungmin said, as she helped the big man stand up. Siwon sneezed blood and Sungmin just gave her handkerchief as she made her way inside the house. He carried the grocery bags and she tried to find her first aid kit.

“Sit down, I’ll go get some ice.”

“Yeah, sure…”

As she made her way back to the living room, where Siwon was, she sat beside him and gave him the ice pack. He groaned and squinted his eyes, as Sungmin applied some medicine on his bruises.

“Next time,” Sungmin chuckled, “don’t ever try to scare me, especially at night.”

“Yes, ma’am…”

“So, why the hell are you here?”

“I,” Siwon said as he rested his head at Sungmin’s lap, “I saw someone following you.”

“Eh?”

“Yep, that’s why. From the grocery store up to your house, haven’t you realized that?”

“Um, well, I had a feeling but, I never thought…”

“It’s weird because the person just follows you. I know, you’re going to ask why I am following you. That’s because I have been following the person and I’m trying to know who it is.”

Sungmin just pouted her lips. She never knew that her instinct was right but the sound of someone stalking her was way beyond her imagination.

“And that’s why, I decided to have a plan.”’

“Ha? What do you mean?”

“You will live first at our old house-”

“Wait, THAT old house, but-”

“And, I’m going to renovate this apartment and I will ask some of my friends to be your housemates.”

“Eh? But Siwon-”

“Don’t worry. It’s Sunny, Tiffany, and Sulli anyway.”

“Yes, I know, but Siwon… That’s too much. I told you, stop spoiling me.”

“And I told you, I only spoil my money to one person, and that is you. Don’t ask anymore. I just want you to be safe.”

“Well, okay then…”

~o~

“WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST DO?!”

“Seohyun, just keep silent, please?” Kyuhyun whispered as he tried to let Seohyun sit down. She sat down but was keeping her face pissed off.

“What the hell?! Look, I know, I am helping you, I am your cousin, but what the fuck are you doing? Where, in your right mind, did you think of stalking my best friend?!”

“Like what I said, I went on to see where she lives. And for three months, it became a habit to stalk her weekly. Is it that bad?”

“It is! We, women, hate it and feel very afraid of our lives because when someone is stalking us, it’s like it will be the end of things.”

“Wait,” Kyuhyun waved his hand as a sign of contradiction, “do you really think I will do something wrong to your best friend?! Jeez, I’m your cousin! I had been helping you with that Yonghwa guy in college, I had been your tutor for math, fuck, I even told you some of the answers in your other exams, and now you think of me negatively?!”

“W-well, sorry, it’s just that… Just don’t stalk Sungmin. If you want to get to know her, I can set you up with her anyway.”

Kyuhyun sipped his coffee who had turned cold because of his on-going conversation with Seohyun. She just looked outside and sighed heavily. She could not believe her professor, who is her first cousin, would do something shameful as stalking.

“So, what do we do now?”

“I have an idea.”

~o~

It was almost time for dismissal and the third year students, who were stuck in math class, were getting impatient. Since exams were around the corner, they cannot do anything and just stay and review. Their professor was still at his hyper mode when the bell rang and the students finally got away, scattering the chairs around the room.

Sungmin, then, arranged her books and notebooks inside her bag. She looked at her back and saw Siwon looking at her, as if waiting for her.

“Um, Lee and Choi, you can go now…”

“Yes, Sir Cho, I’m just waiting for her.”

“Eh? How come?”

“Just because…” Siwon smiled as Sungmin stood up. Kyuhyun then looked at Seohyun who was just texting and said goodbye to Sungmin.

Kyuhyun finally went on to the school grounds to start following Sungmin until he saw the unexpected. She went inside Siwon’s car, followed by the owner. All what Kyuhyun did was watch as he saw the car going towards the direction to Siwon’s house.

There’s only one way to find that out, Kyuhyun thought as he dialled a number.

“Choi residence, how may I help you?”

“This is Cho Kyuhyun.”

“Ah, Young Master Cho, this is the head nanny, Sonna. What is it?”

“Is Sungmin living with Siwon?”

“Why, she lives here ever since, Young Master Cho. Well, she wanted to live on her own, that’s why she had an apartment. But then, Young Master Choi said that Sungmin will live here in the meantime at the mansion because someone had been recently stalking the Young Miss. Also, Young Master Choi wants to renovate  Miss Sungmin’s apartment, so she will be staying here for a while.”

“Ah,” Kyuhyun said, forcing himself to speak, “um, Sonna-noona, please, don’t tell Siwon I called. I wanted to know what’s going on, and as his professor, I think I should have the right to know.”

“Ah, I see,” Sonna said, “don’t worry, Young Master Cho, everything will be fine. Don’t worry about your cousin. He’s too young to think about that.”

“Yeah, very well, thanks…”

He hang up and watched the setting sun beyond the horizon.

Cousins, he thought, why the hell should I always compete with my cousin?

He sighed and decided to go for it. He scanned a name on his phonebook and called.

“Seriously, if you don’t want to tell me who you are, I’ll just hang up.” The voice on the other end whispered.

“Eh, you’re no fun.” Kyuhyun said.

“You’re unfair! You know who I am, but then, I don’t know you.”

“C’mon, I am your friend. And you can trust me anyway. I told you, you will know who I am very soon.”

“Okay, fine, just… Promise me, you will introduce yourself.”

“Yes, I will, Sungminnie~”

“I hate you, Secret-oppa…”
