Keito looked at Daiki seriously,
“Ano~ Dai-chan, oh, how I should put it??” Keito said with a confused look on his face.
Daiki was just staring at him, waiting patiently for the tall lad to say something.
“Just blurt it out, Keito… I’ll hear you” Daiki smiled, “There’s something wrong about Hikaru?”
“Ngg, about Hikaru…” Keito started,
Daiki gave a single nod, waiting. But for some minutes, Keito kept silent, seemed so nervous and looked down like there was something interesting on his shoes. ‘Cute’ Daiki thought.
“I think I figured out, what’s that…”Daiki said in a teasingly tone, smirked.
“You’re worried for Hikaru, right?”
“EHH???”
“Hai, wakatta! So, what do you think I should do?” Daiki asked him “I can’t figure out a way to tell Hikaru about me and Takaki…” Daiki said sadly.
“Anoo~ Dai-chan, please don’t hurt him any further by telling him about it” Keito begged at him.
“But Keito, if I lied and he knows about it by another person, doesn’t it hurt him even more?” Daiki said.
“Yeah, but I can’t stand to look at him suffering like that, Dai-chan… so, please tell him slowly” Keito bowed slightly.
“I will, Keito! I don’t want to hurt him as well. He's the best friend ever for me” Daiki said reassuringly, tapped the younger boy’s shoulder.
Suddenly, Daiki’s eyes widened in realization,
“Eh??? Does that mean, you really, really like him, Keito???”
Keito blushed hard and made his way to the door,
“You’re so slow, Dai-chan” he whispered to Daiki
“Eh?? Keito!! Chotto matte~” Daiki said and tried to chase after the younger boy.
Little did they know, that there was someone by the back door who heard all of their conversation.
When they were back to the dressing room, the other members were ready in the practice room.
“You both better be ready to practice, Hikaru’s on the way here, he’s just emailed me,” Yabu told them.
“Haiii~ Yabumama!” it only made Daiki getting whacked on his head by Yabu, Keito laughed by his nose just to earned a glare from Daiki.
“Yoww… are you ready guys? C’mon, choreographer-san was waiting for us!!” Hikaru was being goofy as always and rushed to the door with Yuto.
They’re all moved to the door, Takaki waited for Daiki at the doorway when his boyfriend gripped Hikaru’s wrist and Takaki could only sigh and make his way to follow his band mates, he knew what Daiki want to do anyway, he would let Daiki make anything clear with Hikaru, his best friend.
“Eh, what is it Dai-chan?” Hikaru asked confusedly, turning his eyes from his wrist to the younger boy’s face.
“Anoo~ Hikaru, there’s something I want to tell you…” Daiki said with his head down.
“Nani? Is this about what I asked on the phone last night?”
Daiki nodded his response.
“But, the others were waiting for us Dai-chan… Can we talk about it later?” Hikaru said softly as he could see guilt on Daiki’s expression.
“Okay then, I’ll treat you the ramen that I promised yesterday” Daiki finally looked at the taller boy.
“Sounds good! Right after practice, okay!” Hikaru smile widely, but there was a clinch on his heart, and it hurt.
‘Although these all hurt me so bad, but I just can’t get over you Dai-chan…

After practice, Daiki dragged Takaki to the corner of the room. The other guys took a quick shower and headed to go home, so tired after a hard dance practice session.
“Takaki, I can’t go home with you today, I want to make it clear with Hikaru. I hope you’ll understand” he said with head bowed down.
Takaki just smiled for his boyfriend’s cuteness, he ruffled the younger’s hair with affection in his eyes.
“It is okay, Dai-chan… I can understand. But don’t take too much time with him ne, I can’t stand if you change your mind and go back to him” Takaki pouted.
Daiki’s face lit up when he heard those words, and smiled widely,
“I’ve even never been with him before… Ouuwh, such a jealousy boy friend!” he said, but of course he didn’t mind it.
Takaki laughed, hugged him tight on his chest.
“Okay, Hikaru was waiting for me on the lobby, I should go” Daiki pulled away and gave a quick kiss on Takaki’s lips, but Takaki pulled him back, wrapped his arms around Daiki’s waist and deepened the kiss.
After a minute passed, Takaki still kissed him passionately,
“Yuu--ya…, wait…” Daiki tried to catch his breath, resting his forehead against his boy friend’s to stop him, “I can’t breathe…”
Takaki finally pulled away, he stared at Daiki with an unreadable expression.
“You just called me…”
“Yuya… shouldn’t I?” Daiki asked reluctantly.
“Hwoaa~ finally!!! Of course I’ll be so happy if you call me with my first name” Takaki said excitedly, hugging Daiki again.
Daiki just smiled and blushed for his boyfriend’s excitement.
“Yuya, if we continue this hug and kiss session, how would I be able to go with Hikaru?” Daiki feigned a glare to the taller boy. Takaki pouted and released him,
“I should go now” Daiki added and make his way to the door.
“I’ll call you later!” Takaki shouted before the younger boy went out the door, Daiki just smiled and waved his hands.
When he saw Hikaru standing before a wall in the lobby, he waved and approached the older boy,
“Yo! Sorry for late…” he said apologetically.
“Never mind… should we go now?” Hikaru smiled at him.
Daiki nodded and Hikaru dragged him by his wrist.
“Ano~ Hikaru, the truth is…” Daiki started when they were waiting for their orders at the ramen shop nearby.
“Hey, don’t be so nervous Dai-chan…” Hikaru laughed softly, he could see the trembling hands of the younger boy.
“Hikaru, actually I…”
“Never mind about it Dai-chan, I know from the beginning I’m just supposed to be your best friend, I know how deep your love for Takaki, I just wait and see how far your relationship will grow up” Hikaru interrupted him before he managed to tell Hikaru the truth.
“But I was supposed to give you a properly answer to…”
“I said never mind about it. Just by seeing your eyes, I know how happy you are now and that’s the most important thing for me…” Hikaru smiled and once more interrupted his sentence.
“Yeah, but still…”
“That’s enough, Dai-chan! I was the one who passed our friendship’s line, I know too well how much you love him, and if you’re like this, I just feel more miserable than already I am… Please don’t make it harder for me, Dai-chan…” Hikaru blurted out, he couldn’t bear it any longer, but suddenly he realized that he had raised his voice,
“I’m sorry for yelling…” he said as he looked down.
“I’m sor…”
“Please don’t say sorry…” Hikaru looked back to the younger who started to sob. He approached him and hugged him tightly on his chest,
“Nakanaide, Dai-chan…”
“But I’m the worst friend ever, Hikaru!”
“No, you’re not!” he pulled him away and stared to the younger’s brown eyes, “Just one thing that will make me feels better…”
“ Eh? What is it?” Daiki stared him back with teary curious eyes, hopefully to have a way for make up their relationship.
“Just be happy, okay! Even if your happiness is with him, I’ll bear with it. I just need time to heal my broken heart, so don’t hesitate anymore. Get it?” he said with a demanding voice, but soon after he showed his brightest smile to the chubby cheeks boy.
Daiki nodded eagerly to convince the older boy that he’ll be happy with Takaki.
“And one more thing, if he dare enough to make you hurt, you always have me, okay! Just come to me!” Hikaru hugged him again with smile plastered on his face.
“I will!” Daiki hugged him back, “You’re really, really my best friend ever, Hikaru!”
“I know I am” he laughed hard, “Stop crying! Aren’t you embarrassed for the people here? They started to stare at you” he added, teasingly.
But of course it’s just a lie. Fortunately, the ramen shop have booths for private users, so there were no other people that could see them, but soon the waitress brought their orders and they pulled from each other quickly so that waitress didn’t see their hug.
“Seriously Hikaru, you have to find your happiness too, as soon as possible. I’ll be worried for you if you stay alone since my lack time to be with you” Daiki said as the waitress out of their booth.
Hikaru just laughed and ruffled Daiki’s hair,
“I’m fine… Don’t worry about me! I’ll find someone, trust me!”
“Of course you have to! If you can’t find that someone, I’ll look one for you!” Daiki said with a fist in the air. Hikaru let out a hard laugh again, it’s weird, just a few minutes ago, his heart so hurt, heavy, but let it out by telling his truly feeling to Daiki, somehow make him relieved and light hearted.
“You deserve to be loved Hikaru! If you find that someone, make sure that the person must be better than me, I’ll check it out yo! I have to make sure that the person capable enough to bring you happiness!” still with a high spirit Daiki said to him.
“Okay, okay…” Hikaru sighed, but so glad inside to find the old Daiki still in him, ‘I’m not lost him completely,’ he thought happily.
“Eh, Hikaru… speaking of which, I haven’t tell you anything about Takaki, but how could figured out what happens to us?” Daiki asked as he slurped his ramen.
“Ohh, I just overheard your conversation with Keito this morning, besides I saw Takaki going back from your home with oh-I’m-the-happiest-person-in-the-world expression yesterday”
“Eh???”
“Yep, I just decided to passed by your home last night when I saw him” Hikaru said calmly. Daiki nodded, but suddenly he realized something, about Keito confession this morning!
“Err, Anoo, so what about our conversation with Keito, how far did you heard it?” he asked carefully.
Hikaru titled his head, try to remember,
“Hmm… about he asked you to not tell me anything because he worried it’ll hurt me?” he said rather uncertainly, “He’s so gentle ne~ that Keito guy…”
“Yeah, indeed…” Daiki agreed. ‘Maybe he didn’t hear what Keito said that time, since he’s whispering it to me...’ he thought, doesn’t know how to feel, relieved or disappointed.
There was a brief silence when suddenly Daiki’s phone rang and he glance to the caller ID on his phone screen, it was Takaki, Hikaru could guess.
“Hai, moshi-moshi~” he picked it up, “Okay, I’ll be there soon” silence, and whatever Takaki said just make Daiki’s cheeks blushed, “Yeah, I love you too” he whispered.
Hikaru pretended that he didn’t hear it and slurped his ramen breezily.
Daiki hang up his phone and looked at Hikaru,
“It was Takaki…He said he’s outside now, we ha…” but his sentences cut off by Hikaru’s vigorously nod.
“Hmm,” Hikaru nodded his head many times, since his mouth full of ramen, he made a thumb up as a sign that he understand,
“Go ahead, don’t make him waiting” finally he managed to say after swallowed the ramen, smile widely.
“I’m sor…”
“Oh please, not another ‘sorry’, Daichan!” he feigned a glare at the younger one.
Daiki smile, “Okay, see you tomorrow, Hikaru!”
“Okay!” Hikaru waved at him.
“No matter how much time I give to you, you will always choose him over me,ne Daichan… But I have to grateful to have this love for you, and now I could move on after saw you with someone who can always by your side, to protect your smile…” Hikaru said as a smile of relieved plastered all over his face.
He could see through the window’s curtain, Daiki smile at Takaki and flung his arms around the taller boy, and Takaki wrapped his arms back at the younger one’s waist. They pulled back quickly as they recognized the bustle that surrounded them and giggled at each other.
Hikaru couldn’t help but chuckle, ‘It’s so nice to be in love, maybe Daiki was right, I should find my truly lover as well’ Hikaru thought and back to his chair to resume his half eating cold ramen, somehow proud to him self.
