Aren't WE technically Mates of State?

I know I've said this a billion times before... I'm sure you can find my old entries that are EXACTLY like this, but that's okay, I don't care. I love music. And I love the way some music just takes you back. Even if you can't relive everything that happened when a certain song played a big part in your life... but you still get that same gut feeling. When I hear "Goods" or pretty much ANY Mates of State song... it brings me back to the early part of last semester... when it was me & LC & Rachel. Those were some good fucking times.

The first time I met Rachel was when I was with LC for most of the day and we ended up going to the IMAX to see... uhh... Roving Mars? I don't know... something like that. I remember the phrase "Intergallactic Hole-In-One"... that's pretty nifty. I think Shirelle was with us too. I even remember bits of our conversation. I remember someone talking about Eisley. And Postal Service. Or maybe Death Cab. Then we walked back and LC and Shirelle went to a party... I didn't go. I started to get a headache... I just wasn't feelin' it that night. I think I watched most of Wedding Crashers on LC's computer.

The next day, I'm pretty sure, was when me, LC, Rachel & Erin went to Mount Bonnell. We... were a little messed up. And we... tried to climb DOWN the mountain into the awesome little rich village/neighborhood under the "mountain" (which... really isn't much of a mountain). Either way, Rachel was wearing flipflops and I was SO SURE we were all going to die... or have to call a rescue team to come get us. Good times. Anyway, we went back to my house and played Pretty Pretty Princess. Anyway, we seriously had some good times together. Rachel's coming back soon, that's uber exciting! Anyway... back to Mates of State...

It makes me think of being in the car with Rachel & LC and blasting "An Experiment" or "HaHa"... and speaking of "HaHa" it also makes me think of going to South Congress with LCeez. We blasted that shit and we even played some Sufjan... almost cried listening to him singing "John Wayne Gacy, Jr."... music just takes you back. I get that feel of sitting in a car, windows rolled down, wind blowing in your face, hair flying everywhere... and just... singing at the top of your lungs. With your besties.

HELL YES.
