300 Favourite Movies: 2: The King's Speech
This movie was impeccable story-telling. The casting was excellent (how could you possibly go wrong with Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush & Helena Bonham Carter?), the costumes were lovely, the story was compelling and the chemistry between the actors was nothing short of perfection. I personally love period movies, but this was exceptionally lovely to watch because of the various dynamics. The movie had humour, friendship and romantic love. It was gut-wrenching in some instances and made me laugh at others. It deserved the Oscar.
