miyake goes solo
Mihimaru GT rapper Miyake has announced his plans to make a solo debut. He will be releasing his first single this winter under the name, “miCKun,” along with a follow-up album at the beginning of 2011.
The new name comes from his close friends who have nicknamed him “Mikkun.” He decided to take on a variant of that nickname for his solo debut rather than use his mihimaru GT stage name of “miyake”.
He has already promised that the debut solo album will contain collaborations with many artists, so expectations are high. As of now, no tracks have been revealed yet for the single or album.

I always kind of expected mihimaru GT to go their separate ways eventually, so I can't say I'm surprised. I just hope that there will still be collaborations between Miyake and Hiroko in the furture!♥
