殺して。俺をふつうの人間に戻してくれ。
What the heck?
I can't say I was hugely disappointed but I was disappointed, specially by the last 2 minutes.
I mean, what was the meaning of that ending?...
Let's start this review by anything but the end.
Overall I think Orthros no Inu was a good dorama but usually is the last episode what turns a good dorama into an amazing dorama to me.
I understand they had a lot of problems with production specially since they were an episode behind because of Ryo's break nevertheless the ending was pretty much settled since the beginning by the script writer, right?
Like, what the bloody hell?
I would even get it if they were both alive and acting like siblings but making Ryuuzaki live and share no special relationship with him is just meaningless to me (unless Aoi made him a full "reset" in the water scene.)
Now that I mentioned the water scene, WHAT THE HECK?
It would have made so much more sense if you had killed him when you were in the bridge and Ryuuzaki was like "Kill me. Let me start over again. I ask you this because you are my brother". I thought "Oh okay, Ryuuzaki is gonna die and start is life anew by re-borning and such since Japanese love this idea". But then Aoi decided he wasn't going to kill him because omg their bond had just started evolving, they needed to know each other better and share fluffy sibling bonds and I was like "heh... this is getting ghei."
AND THEN THE ABSOLUTE WTF-NESS -> he kills him in the water... after he said stuff that made us believe he wasn't going to do so.
Ok... he didn't kill him in the water, he erased Ryuuzaki's power which is even duller. I mean. What's the point?
Oh yeah, I know these powers bring you pain so I am gonna kill them inside you and btw I don't know you from now on.
What the fucking fuck? Really I was SO disappointed by the bluntness of this ending. When you build up some angst you gotta end it nicely, okay? -> points Maou. I don't mean they have both to die but if they are both gonna live at least make some sense out of it. Don't give me BS like Aoi likes teaching a lot and Ryuuzaki likes puppies because it's almost making fun of the previous 8 episodes .
Moving on... yeah, the ending sucked big time to me but the rest of the episode was pretty good. Sawamura finally got shot. Thank you.
I couldn't bare his deranged act ANY LONGER. Actually I spent the whole episode screaming "Just shoot the guy" to the screen.
The children scene in the hospital was nice though in the overall too fluffy and cliché (what went wrong with the insane happy fluffy feelings in this episode?).
On the actors thing. Tackey is awesome as always, and the jimusho finally gave him a GOOD straight role (cuz 70% of Tackey's roles have somehow a ghei feeling O:). It was a good role and more over he played with him very well. And geez he was hot.
Ryo looks worse here than in Last Friends, imo. The crying scene looked too forced and I am usually all "ZOMG ;___;" in crying scenes though I was like "... u_U" when he was refusing to kill his brother. I think he just laked something in the "OMG WE FELT INTO THE WATER SCENE".... You don't wanna kill ya bro, show that with more than your fake tears, plz? i_i
Nevertheless Ryo was okay.
The girl cop whose name I never seem to remember was okay as well, It's not her fault that woman roles in J-dramas are always sucky and goodie goodie. BUT HEY, AT LEAST SHE SHOT SAWAMURA :DDDDD
Summing up, Orthros no Inu was a great dorama but the ending was absolutely senseless to me u_u
