In other news, there's some fun shit floatin around in Japan this season.
Meh... could be okay
Soul Link isn't very good technically, but it's entertaining. In the first few episodes there's some nasty animation going on, and some poorly drawn shit here and there. Episode four is a bit of an improvement though... though the CG still blows. I enjoy the music though.
Disgaea is an aquired taste. People who love the game, seem to love the anime(myself included). But people who aren't... well the music, character designs, and animation are a bit off. And they would find the humor strange, since it is easier to laugh at when you know the game.
Kiba i'm not sure about... I like the character designs, and the premise is interesting... in how they took an extremely overhashed premise and made it interesting. But it's way too early to decide anything on this series in my opinion, since the first few episodes show some strong potential. And as far as the music goes... I love the ending theme, reminds me of Orange Range a bit. The opening is okay... but it's far from Nami's best.
High School Girls dissapoints me. I was looking forward to some good-natured, shoujo fun/romance with the occasional fanservice. Episode 1 greets us with enough panty shots to make the nastiest old Japanese man's life fulfilled. Far too many, only one of them was actually pretty funny. Panty shots just for the sake of fanservice are a big nono guys... please don't do it. Then the second episode(or third? I dunno) shows us what it's like to undergo physical exams in an all-girls school... okay no. There was VERY little funny comedyhere. Some scenes just leftme scratching my head, wondering who would find this shit funny. yozuca* donates a really fun song to listen/sing, as they usually do. And the ending is ALOT of fun.

Ah! My Goddess Season 2 seems okay in the first few eps. Still love the animation and character designs, as well as the music. Starts off pretty cute/funny too.
The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi is probably my pick for best series of the season. I love the animation, character designs, music... everything. Not to mention the novel series is great. This is going to be a must-see for everyone damnit. And read the novels! Btw... HARUHI-ISM FOR LIFE!
Black Lagoon I still have no strong opinion on, but so far I really like it. Op is badass, like the character designs. I really enjoy the animation during the action scenes as well. I'm pretty sure this will be my action fix this season, going to be the best action series out there.
Ouran High School Host Club is another of my season favorites, like Haruhi. I love this style of character designs. Music is fun to listen to(KISS KISS FALL IN LOVE!) as well. There's never a dull moment... no matter what type of emotion is running rampant in a certain scene, I am having shit tons of fun watching. The bishi's are cute, the main character makes a great bishi AND a great bishoujo ;c WATCH IT!
Utawarerumo is another of my top favs this season. Music is perfect for the setting. The character designs are very pleasing, especially SUUPA KAWAII Eruru and Aruru(I wanna fondle some waggy tails now...) Seems like the perfect all-around show this season. It looks to contain good romance, suspence, action, comedy, and tragedy/sadness stuff. Im wondering how they will incorporate everything into a 26 episode series though... the op makes one think there's gonna be a million characters of varying importance(far above man3, commander 1, construcxtion guy, etc).
Strawberry Panic looks to be good. Interesting(and cute) character designs, nice animation, really good music. But it's another "chicks in an all-chick academy show)... hopefully this show carries water, and proves to be as good as everyone expects it to be.
NANA WAAAIII! KICKASS! Been waiting for this one. This may possibly come out of the season, and become one of my all-time favs. The movie is great, and the series is shaping up to be as well. Kickass rock tracks, good plot and the romance/sad shit is top notch. And the comedy is never old/stale/boring either. I can't see this show bombing, it's going to rise above even the loftiest of expectations.
.hack//Roots ... yeah. Anyone who knows anything about me knows I have been waiting for this one. Being a diehard .hack fan i will follow this until the end no matter what. I'm just a bit surprised that it seems more action/game oriented that the orevious series... which centered(overall) in a more IRL thinking. What with the investigation into Tsukasa's original identity, the shit with CC corp in Liminality, and little brat hackers in Legend, etc. While this series is coming on STRONG with MMORPG lingo and undertones. And while I do love ALI-PROJECT... I really miss Yuki Kajiura :( But the music plus is that the opening is an awesome song from FICTIONJUNCTION YUUKA. w0000t for FJY!!!
