Sometimes I wish I was pretentious enough to get away with putting
*credits*at the appropriate bit of my stories where the first scene would lead into the opening theme. But Im not, so I won't. I hate it when people do that

Oh yeah, I've seen it. Mostly on FFnet, which explains that, but all the same. Its a device, and it doesn't add anything to fic unless its crackfic.
Also a bit sad that you dont have the OST. (Outta curiosity, is that because you just havent gotten around to it, or because you dont like the music too much?)
Its funny, I do think song titles/lyrics make great titles, but only two stories on my masterlist are named after songs. My musical inspiration is usually that most of my ideas happen when Im doing chores, and when Im doing chores, my iPod is on, so the idea comes with the music. I wonder if thats inspiration or association?
That said, I also cannot write while music is playing. I might play bits of it to think to and then pause it to type, but I can't actually type to music. My brain goes NOPE.
Kings of Leon... there's some nostalgia. I still think of Dave Tennant when I listen to Sex On Fire and that is all your fault. ;p
Ok, well that makes sense. I rarely read stuff over there for obvious reasons. THANK YOU FOR WROTE THIS, my candied ball of hot love.
(Mainly because I have a million things to download and OST's are not high up my list. I don't listen to them enough, especially emotionally triggery ones)
Good point! Could be either. And yeah, writing while music is on is a no go. Brain says NO MORE WORDS.
I usually can't write to music with words (one exception - wrote a story to Leona Lewis once), but Philip Glass is my usual choice for instrumental. The soundtrack to The Hours, in particular. But song lyrics often spur plotbunnies. :)
Neither can I, I end up typing the lyrics, mingled with my original thought-- it's like a wood chipper of prose.
Im not actually that familiar with Philip Glass. I know he worked on Secret Window but Ive not seen it in ages. (Is The Hours good?) I really love Hans Zimmer. I dont think he's written a piece yet that doesn't make me emote, lol.
Philip Glass is good though, he has this sort of repetitive style that lets me zone out or something. I've never actually seen the Hours, only listened to the soundtrack though - something I should remedy at some point.
