Um...stuff

MySpace is at once a terrible and a wonderful thing. Logged on today for the first time in a while to find two new messages: the terrible one, a friend's ex asking me to please tell her not to speak to him ever again, elaborating on his various and sundry reasons for said request, and informing me that he was currently drunk (the time stamp on the message said 9:42 this morning). Nuff said for the terrible aspect. (I also will not repeat the exact wording of the message, no matter how much the person for whom it was intended may beg, because there's just no point to fueling this bitterness- and alcohol-induced fire.) The flip side of the coin, however, was a message from a friend of mine from junior high, a really wonderful person whom I've lost touch with over the years, who told me I looked pretty in my picture and asked how I was doing. I clicked on her profile to discover that she's now married and living in Switzerland (either that, or she lies in online profiles). Made me feel kinda dumb for still being in OKC, but then again, I like OKC.

In other news, my semester is proving to be challenging, not necessarily in the difficulty of the subjects, but merely in the sheer volume of reading required. The phrase "not enough hours in the day" comes to mind.

Anyhow, that's what I'm up to. Now you must pardon me, for I have several thousands of pages of reading to do...
