The Cold Awakens

Batch 2007 of Southridge just got back from Banaue. We had a one week seminar there. I never knew that a place in the Philippines could be so cold! On some nights and early mornings, the weather felt like New York city in Spring. Crisp and chilly. Banaue was amazing. We went HIKING (a LOT of it), cave speulunking, semi-swimming, etc. We visited a really nice waterfall spot.. and I'd have to say, it was worth the hour and a half hike going there.. and back. We also went to the hot springs.. It was nice, but the 2 hour trek wasnt worth it.. it was just a pool of hot water next to a stream of cold. hahaha! The cave we went to in Sagada was SOOOO nice!

The baths there were the coldest I've ever had. No heater. Gah!
The variety shows held on the last night were the funniest our batch has ever come up with. The teachers and judges were laughing their heads off. The unique sense of humour of our batch really shone. Checky checky. Boomer. Wahaha. One of the best parts of the seminar was that a lot of us got to bond. It's our last seminar. 7K well worth it. Ang galing.

I had a wonderful time at Sagada. The outreaches we held were SO fulfilling. The smiles of the children that we played with really made my trip complete.

Life is looking up. I'm happy. :)
