Gah!

It's noon. Here's my day so far:

1) Wake up, take the dog out with Pete where we stand around in the frosted over 28 degree grass while the dog looks at us like, and?

2) Take a short nap because I was tired and achy from step class yesterday and my knee hurt last night so I didn't sleep all that well.

3) Wake up again and feed the cats, but when I tried to close up the bag of Kitten Chow, the bottom exploded and Kitten Chow went all over the floor. So I scooped up most of it and threw it out. But fortunately my cats enjoy playing like little furry Hoovers, so I think they liked 'vacuuming" the rest of it for me.

4) Load the dishwasher, but there were a few dishes that needed some extra love, like the bowl we made roasted cheesy broccoli (yum!!) in last night. So before putting them in the dishwasher I squirted them down with some Dawn Oxi, which is a fantastic cleaning product, by the way. I've done this before and there have never been any negative repercussions, so I figured it would be fine. And it was, if by "fine," you mean "tons of soap suds pouring out of the bottom of my dishwasher all over the kitchen floor."

5) Find a towel, clean up soap suds.

6) Make cookies. Yes there's a reason but it's a secret for the time being. Anyway. While making cookies, because the kitchen is so tiny and there's crap all over the 3 feet of counter space, I was scooping dough onto cookie sheets on the stove, and for some reason the bowl with the dough fell over and landed upside down on teh floor. Fortunately most of it was already out and the dough that was left stayed mostly in the bottom, but there were a few special bits that were near the top and that went all over the floor. No, this was not the kind of cookie dough that can be easily picked up. Gross.

7) Move towel from in front of dishwasher to wipe up cookie dough.

8) While cleaning off the last cookie sheet that I needed because there was something stuck on it, I couldn't fit it in the sink because our sink sucks. So what does the cookie sheet do? turn in such a way that it dumps dirty, soapy, cold water all over me and the kitchen floor.

9) Move towel from cookie dough over to sink to clean up soapy, cold, dirty water.

10) Take off pajama pants covered in soap, dirty water, and cookie dough. Put on real clothes. Stay out of the kitchen until further notice.

Oh and I also called to get a hair appointment this afternoon but there was no answer. But that's just a minor annoyance, and doesn't involve me cleaning up the kitchen floor, or the floor in the cat room, like 5 times in an hour.

It's ok, you can laugh. I think it's funny too. Which is why I shared this lovely tale with you fine people.

Real update/musings to come later on, probably.
