Today
First off I want to thank those of you who came on FRiday to help with the kids. It may have seemed like not too much happened but don't believe what seems. YOu girls who talked to the kids and made them feel loved were more beautiful than ever because you were sharing Christ's love. Guys, as you played ball with those boys your great strength in Christ was shown by welcoming strangers for Christ. Six kids accepted Christ. You guys all worked together to make those kids want to stay and they did. They heard the Gospel and accepted, and God gets the glory. WOOOO! Please report please report! It would be worth doing that a million times for one kid to accept Christ.
Today I thanked GOd for being so incredibly good. I thanked Him that if my plans don't work out in life it doesn't matter at all, because life is short and then we die, and I will go to sing and dance in Heaven forever. God is bigger than our thoughts and plans. He is bigger than the people we think we think we need to like us. God is bigger than our problems. I love God because He is the ultimate truth, the ultimate reality. HE is good, HE is faithful, HE is LOVE, HE is glorious, HE is powerful; God defines those things, and He can do what He wills and our perception of that doesn't change the character of God.
The past couple months I have struggled so much to understand why God lets things happen and how He can still truly be loving and merciful. God is the center of all things. He does what is best in the grand scheme of things; He glorifies His name, and he brings us and all of creation to do so. Unless we realize that the best thing for the for humanity as a whole, for creation as a whole, is for God to be glorified, then we will never be able to accept what He does. I lost sight of that and with it I lost my closeness to Him. But God is good! THe Lord gives and the Lord takes away. If He takes away what is in His way in my life than I praise His name for that.

IF YOU DON"T WANT TO GO ON SENIOR TRIP OR IF YOU WANT TO GO ON A ROAD TRIP TO CALIFORNIA CONSIDER GOING TOGETHER TO SEE THE SUPERTONES AND DO OTHER AWESOME THINGS. I will try to get a group to go. I know I'm going and Chris and Cale are going. They don't know yet, but they are.
