So are we not allowed to know what went on during this mysterious, oh-so-important Warden meeting? I realize it's bureaucracy, so what sorts of changes can we expect to see, oh -- six months from now?

(ooc: As you can see, Mozenrath's made an astounding recovery from the flood -- a whole week after the fact. He's going to pretend it never happened. ( Read more... )

Hi, laddie. What're we hoping to accomplish today? A broken sternum, perhaps?

Is that a threat, Mister Scott?

No, no. Not from me, but I'd thought you'd have learned about the consequences of this sort of verbiage erstwhile! Rubbin' two sticks together, mate.

There's nothing mere about what y'posted.

Of course there was. I might have remarked on how slow it generally takes for the Wardens to accomplish anything, but really anyone could have done that.

Exactly how far in the depths of denial are you, lad? How hard is it going to be to get you to admit that this was a really daft thing t'say after you just got the everloving beat out of you because of that smart mouth?

Am I talking to the person that did that?

No. You're talkin' t'the entire Barge.

Since when am I responsible for the actions of others?

No actions yet, but you're certainly puttin' yourself out there to be knocked senseless. If you go stand out in a field with a dozen or so beehives, whose fault is it when you get stung?

Think about it!

Bees are not people.

So what you're basically implying is that if I talk about anything, I'm inviting violence against my person.

Go have another drink, Mister Scott.

For such a smart boy, you're a bit daft when it comes to the obvious. I'm not the paragon of social grace, mate, but at least I know this much.

If you talk like a ponce you'll get yourself hurt. If you act like a normal, polite human being, the target on your back grows considerably smaller.

Sod off, the pub's closed and you know it.

You're still saying roughly the same thing. So if you're not going to enforce the whole 'no violence' policy people seem to tout so much around here, what exactly are you here for?

I'm talking like I normally talk. Deal with it.

And that's a shame. I can scarcely imagine what you're doing with your spare time.
