Fascinating what counts for magic in some cultures.

Magick. I know that symbolic gestures, talismans, plants and what have you are staples of any spiritual practice -- I get that. But I've never run into anyone actually claim that they and magic are one and the same. You cast a spell. The effects go into place. You see them. It's obvious. There you are. There's none of this "you have to believe it happens" or "change will come in the form that the spirit thinks is appropriate."
I'm not mistaken in thinking the proper term for that is prayer, am I?
And is that really as far as magic goes in some worlds? How depressing is that?
It's no matter; I was able to replenish some supplies, at least. Just one source for confusion during what was, essentially, a very relaxing outing. I will join many others in saying I actually enjoyed myself.
