On the way into work on Wednesday, I was wondering how much one's name influences how one looks. Everyone's had people tell them, "Oh, you look like a Dennis," or "Oh, you look like a Jason," or "Hrm, your name should be Deborah," or something similar. Why is that? Do names have a universal descriptive power? Proper names, now; I'm not meaning just names for things, you understand, since those do have descriptive power. I combined that thought with the idea (or has it been proven?) that the longer couples are together, the more they come to resemble one another. If the very presence of another person can cause even a slight physical change in one's appearance, could not a name do the very same thing? Maybe I have a story idea in here.
Speaking of which I am working on my PSU app but
there are many stumbling blocks in my way. But at least I'm working on it, at the last minute, as always!
I bought a half-gallon of milk this past weekend, and I've almost finished drinking it, and I am noticing the edges of my fingernails are a much brighter shade of white than normal. It's kinda weird; do you think the two are related?
Also I've grown severly addicted to
Dinosaur Comics! Here is an example for your consideration (p.s. I included the title tag from the original comic as well):
I've been leeching this guy's bandwidth like a motherfucker on Pen, and I continue the tradition here! But oh holy hell I love this comic. So great.
The author even has his own LJ! I never thought a combination of something I love (dinosaurs) with something I hate (webcomics) would make me so happy! It is great!
Last but not least I just got
my new cellphone!! On Wednesday I finally got around to switching to a nationwide phone plan, so I can keep my Louisiana number on my phone here in Jacksonville and not be roaming! Also I get free long distance! Also did I tell you I got a new phone? I was going to post my number here (since I can use my phone now with $.80/minute roaming charges) but then I decided against it. Who knows who reads this page?
edit:
I hate the way actions have unintended consequences. I can't fucking believe it. Not even a phone call.
edit 2: I meant ON THE WAY INTO WORK ON WEDNESDAY!!
