If they want us to buy American-branded cars, then the American companies need to MAKE BETTER CARS. Sheesh.

I have a Volkswagen and my husband has an Audi and a Volvo. The Volvo needs replacing at some point within the next year or two. Guess what? All the cars that are acceptable replacements for it are also European. I hardly see how that's our fault.

As mentioned by others, just because the car is branded by one of the Big Three American automakers, doesn't mean it's 100% American made. Most of Detroit's cars are full of more foreign-made parts than American. And, yes, American automakers need to pull their heads out of their asses and start making LOTS more smaller, more fuel efficient cars
