Deliver unto me the sweet nectar of barley and hops!

Yesterday John and I had one of our chamber music concerts to attend in Ann Arbor and we decided to eat out before the event. Our first stop was too crowded so we headed down to Ashley's which is a fantastic place if you are looking to try exciting, exotic, new beers. My first beer choice wasn't new because I have had it before, but this time it was on draught! Young's Double Chocolate Stout. One of my all-time favorites.

With a little extra time left before we had to leave for the concert, I decided to try something that really was new and exotic: Lindemans Framboise. It came in a wee 5.5-ounce glass and was an interesting dark ruby red color. It smelled of summertime and tasted even better. It was the least beery beer I've ever had; it was almost like an alcoholic raspberry soda. It was so good I had to restrain myself from downing the whole thing at once like a shot. Instead I sipped and savored it. I have to find some around here so I can have more than five ounces at once!
