Noone really has their shit together do they? Like my mom, her office at work is spotless, all her files organized and color coded. But at home, she can't find a pen. Most people are like this right? I hope..
So, LA traffic had me thinking about new year's resolutions. Historically I haven't stuck to any, but I think 2005's are doable. 1) Take my vitamins and 2) Go to more live events - music, art, sports.
Then I started thinking about where I've felt most in my "element". I'd have to say it was teaching photography to high school students. First, I like that age range vs. little kids. Second it was satisfying watching them develop their talent. Third, it was nice having an unpretentious, back to basics, "why I do or don't like this" conversation about art vs. what impact does his work have on society blah blah...
Alvin just called. We got invited to a Vivid video holiday party. Interesting. What do you wear to a party like that? Oh well, I have the flu anyway...or I could sneeze all over everyone..
