New Year Questionnaire
1. What did you do in 2012 that you’d never done before?
I took the ferry to San Francisco. I went to WPPI in Vegas.
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't do resolutions. Spencer and I create a vision board instead. Last years was: Love (check), Travel (check - to WPPI/photography convention. Though no real vacations [I almost just spelled "real" as "rall"...]), Canon 5D (did not buy it , like I anticipated, but did rent one. bought a new computer out of necessity instead), Braces (did not do that either. funny the $6K they want to pull my teeth, it's not in my bank account ready to be spent. every time i get close, I need it for other things.), Otis was on there too, but he's just cute., I think I also had a dollar sign (we haven't gone in the red!, so that counts!)
3. What countries did you visit?
Countries? ha. Nope. None.
4. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
Self control. Mostly over my alarm clock. (Maybe more lack of control over my alarm clock is what I actually need.)
5. What dates from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Ummm, well. Thankfully none.
6. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Sustaining my photography studio in it's new location.
7. What was your biggest failure?
Not getting a new doctor. Not seeing the doctor.
8. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Only minor colds ...
9. What was the best thing you bought?
My COMPUTER and hence, getting the new photoshop, lightroom, bamboo tablet. My work life is SO. MUCH. BETTER.
10. Where did most of your money go?
Rent. Health Care. Food.
11. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Spencer bought me the new iPad. That was exciting. I use it ALL the time.
12. What song will always remind you of 2012?
Graffiti6 - Free. I actually DISCOVERED a BAND on the RADIO. phisha!
13. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder?
b) thinner or fatter?
c) richer or poorer?
I'm happier, same weight, and hum, I think money's about the same too, but we might be a little richer since I planned for expenses better this year (mostly taxes and xmas.)
14. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Exercising. Crafty Creations. Gone on a road trip with Spencer.
15. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Being bitchy.

Same ol' tune: waking up at my parents in the morning for stockings and breakfast, then driving to Patricia's for presents with the Burrows.

Graffiti6. Mumford & Sons. Muse (? was that 2011?)
22. What did you want and get?
Health and Happiness.
23. What did you want and not get?
A new truck for Otis and Me. ;) The house that we put an offer in on.
24. What was your favorite film of this year?
Film ... hummmm... Probably Hugo.
25. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 32, and I had a birthday party at my house, took crazy photo-booth pictures of my friends with my new ipad, then went up to trinity for a few days.
26. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I don't know. I feel like I'm repeating myself. Spencer and I would have loved to MOVE out (even though our apt. is a pretty good place overall) and started something NEW. Having our own home in a new town was SO exciting to dream about. Not getting the house and having to look again, was sad at first. It's still a little depressing. We are trying instead to look at our apartment from "fresh" eyes and think of all the good things ... and the things we would do differently.
27. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?
Cute. Comfortable. Warm. It's always cold at my studio. :(
28. What kept you sane?
Having money to pay the bills. Really, if you think about what it really comes down to, it's being able to pay your bills. Also, breathing and letting things GO.
29. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Oh boy. I'm really not obsessing over anyone. Perhaps Gwenth Paltrow. She is married to a rock star AND has a home in France.
30. What political issue stirred you the most?
the fact that people actually WANTED to vote for ROMNEY. GAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
31. Who did you miss?
My pony.
32. Who was the best new person you met?
I met Kerri Green. She has four girls. Her facebook posts are hilarious. She is a honest good person. That said, we're not super friends, more acquaintances. I got to photograph her cubby cute 6 mth old, Paige. She gave me a great referral.
33. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2012.
Do something even if you don't need it now. In the future you'll be happy you did it.
