So, I had an old client come back to me for her updated business portrait.
Everything was going super smooth - she even liked and ordered pictures after complaining to me very seriously about how the body changes after 60 and being very self conscious.
So she orders online and then writes an email to tell me she'll bring me by and check and pickup the pictures. This morning she calls, I let her know I'll be out on errands from 1:30 to 2:30. She says how about 3:00? I say, that's great, see you then.
1:30 comes, I leave to get lunch for Spencer and myself.
2:00 comes, I'm back at the studio helping Spencer clean up.
2:15-2:30, we lock ourselves in my photography studio (not my office) so we can eat and not be bombarded with parents dropping their kids off.
2:30 in my office.
3:15 knock on the door. it's my appt!
I smile, say hello, which is responded to, have you been here the whole time??? Yes ... ... Well, I've call several times and you have not answered. (THIS IS MY FAULT. When I got back I just dropped off my purse and didn't remember to take out my phone after lunch.)
Then she told me that she drove ALL THE WAY from Santa Rosa ... as if she had just walked the desert.
I apologized. But this lady, if fumes were fire, she'd be burnt to a crisp.
She was so upset when she left, that it made me cry! Really, even if you tell yourself, she's not just mad at you, she must mad at something else, it does not stop the tears.
After she left I listened to the voicemail. I guess she had been SITTING ON MY STAIRS for a good 25 minutes before she even knocked on my door.
GAG!
* And now I feel better. hah!
