"Guess we could go back in and see if we anaged to miss the awards," I say, thinking she seems a little uneasy about being alone out here with me. I probably shouldn't have made that crack about most likely to go to jail, but oh well. "C'mon," I say, leading her back to the service entrance. "Let's go be sociable."
So maybe she didn't want to run away from me that quickly. I smile. "Okay, if you want to do things the traditional way." I offer my arm to her. "It is a pretty nice night.
I smile at her. "All cooled off and ready to have another go at it?" I ask, as we approach the door. I frown, seeing several students with identical dark glasses in the crowd inside. "Huh, what's that, new trend?"
"Eh, it's probably just what they think is the cool new look, sunglasses at night and all that," I scoff. "Wannabees." I head back into the dance with her.
