I get the feeling that it's time for a real update, even if I have nothing interesting to say apart from the usual complains about my work....
Let's start with the most important. Jodi, Heather, I got your boxes!!! Thank you so much, I feel so spoiled and loved. And I kinda needed this during the last few weeks. Jodi! The jewelry box is so pretty with the little Tinker bell on its lid. Merci! When I showed it to my sister, she asked me if you could make one for her too. I said no, of course. I like my exclusivity ;) Heather! The necklace is very pretty, I wore it all week. Also, that body lotion you sent me smells so good that it's almost addictive. It smells like summer... *sigh* I hate winter by the way, especially when we can't see outside anymore because of the big fat "banc de neige" (sorry can't find it in my smelly dictionary). I can't wait for my birthday. I hope that the snow will have all melted by then.
Apart from that... I had a difficult week at work. Something very stupid happened on Monday morning and I ended up caught in a very bad situation with someone at school. I won't say no more, apart that some people just deserve to die in a very painful way... Plus, I have problems with one of my students. I love my job, but it can be so difficult sometimes that I'm not sure I’m good enough to do it properly. I finally went to see my boss on Thursday to tell him about all this. He was very supportive and he told me I was doing an excellent job. Now I feel a bit more optimistic. :)
Also, I'm becoming more and more addicted to the Karma Kameleons every week. hehe It's like my treat of the week, my little reward after a busy and demanding week. The only problem is that it's on Thursday nights and I work on Fridays... So this week I went to bed at 3am and got up at 6am. *looks* I know, I know, I should be a responsible adult by now, but it's in contradiction with my epicurean personality. ;) Taureau un jour, taureau toujours...
I went to see the "Parade du Carnaval" tonight. Well, we didn't really see it; we heard it and we saw the back of the head of many people. During 2 hours. So much fun ;) Seriously, it was overcrowded, with a strange mix of little cute families and some heavily drunk-on-"Caribou" people. I wasn't included in any of these categories by the way.
So I guess that's it for me and my monthly update. Oh! I forgot to tell that I taught English yesterday. It was fun! We watched the Simpsons and talked about the famous kids I had in my class when I was in England. All my regular students gave me weird looks when they heard me speaking English for the first time. hehe
Ciao!
