Voici comme promis un extrait de "1984":
" The older kind of Socialist, who had been trained to fight against something called " class privilege", assumed that what is not hereditary cannot be permanent. He did not see that the continuity of an oligarchy need not to be physical, nor did he pause to reflect that hereditary aristocracies have always been shortlived, whereas adoptive organizations such as the Catholic Church have sometimes lasted for hundreds or thousands of years. The essence of oligarchical rule is not father-to-son inheritance, but the persistence of a certain world-view and a certain way of life, imposed by the dead upon the living. A roling group is a roling group so long as it can nominate his successors. The Party is not concerned with perpetuating its blood but with perpetuating itself. "Who" wields power is not important, provided that the hierarchical structure remains always the same."
"First, concernig cosmetics. In this regard I should like to know for what reason a young woman smears herself with white lead and purple pigment. If it is to please herself, she is mad. What is dearer or more pleasing to anyone than to be oneself just as we are.If it is to please men, she is stupid. You ( il s'adresse aux jeunes filles non encore mariees),have one spouse, Christ; to please him, adorn your soul with virtues, and he, the most beautiful of men, will kiss you.[...]God says: " let us make man to our image and likeness", and will anyone dare to change and transform what God has made? they lay hands on God when they try to remake and transform what he has made, not knowing that all that is born is the work of God, and what ever is changed is the work of the evil.[...]And the moment she turns away from God toward men, whether to approuve them or to be approved by them, she departs from Christ into adultery."
