Our next door neighbors were robbed while they were home (yeesh) some time in the morning the day before Easter. Grabbed valuables AND stole their car. In general, we live in a really safe neighborhood and since Rob and I live on the very top floor, we're not an easy target. But better safe than sorry, so Rob's coming home early to be there for the install.
It's really not all that expensive monthly and we'll get a tiny discount on our insurance. I think the money is worth the peace of mind. Since so few places on our street have security systems it should deter people. Why steal from the people who have a security system if the guy next door doesn't?
:( It's too bad that we have to be concerned about this though. Our neighbor says she's been calling in suspicious people since our neighborhood seems like it's being targeted. booness.
