sick! SICK!
I stayed home watching entire BBC Jane Austen series.
I am not a romantic, but I love Jane Austen. I had time to watch the more recent series of Emma and re-watch the old 1995 version of Pride and Prejudice, which I adore. Colin Firth makes such a good stuffed shirt.
I think P&P, like a lot of other people, is my favorite. I just love how many crazy distinct characters there are. I admit, I can't stand to read any huge length of speech by Mr. Collins (which is most of his text since he's so long winded) but that's part of the charm, I guess. He's so well described that as I reader I can't freakin' stand him and I feel how I imagine everyone else would feel being forced to be around that.
I don't know if Rob could sit through it, but I'm going to force him. I don't make him watch any romantic movies with me, because in general they nauseate me, but I think part of his duty as my husband is to watch these BBC series. It could be worse. I could make him watch any number of Hollywood romantic comedies. blarg! BLARG!
