Summary: Seifer Almasy was many things, but patient wasn't one of them. Zell Dincht knew that better than anyone. So he wasn't surprised when said blond began making comments like "Hey Chicken-wuss, speed it up" and "Hey Chickie, I don't want to be stuck here all day".

Seifer Almasy was many things, but patient wasn't one of them. Zell Dincht knew that better than anyone. So he wasn't surprised when said blond began making comments like "Hey Chicken-wuss, speed it up" and "Hey Chickie, I don't want to be stuck here all day".  Zell had been around Seifer enough lately to tune out the usual remarks (even though a few left him shaking in anger). It wasn't, however, put up with certain comments about how it was his fault that the two of them were stuck in the Ragnarok's cockpit because the lift was broken.

(Stupid Squall and his stupid missions out in the stupid desert) Zell thought. Suffice to say, he was slightly pissed off.

"Could you get up and help me with this? It's taking forever!....Who am I kidding, you're not going to help.." Zell muttered with a frustrated sigh. A rustling from behind him made him turn around to see what the heck Seifer was doing this time. He almost had to clean up the pile of drool when he saw that the older blond had a sandwitch with him, and, what more, he was handing half of it to Zell.

Hungry, Chickie?" Seifer smirked.

Hell yeah he was! Zell grabbed the sandwitch and practically inhaled it into his stomach.

"Wow.." Zell muttered after he was finished. He looked up to see an amused Seifer rolling his eyes.

The younger of the two sighed. "Guess I'd better finish fixing this..." He started towards the lift again when Seifer grabbed his arm. Zell then remembered he should probably thank the other, after all, his Ma wouldn't like it too much if she found out he didn't thank the one who gave him food. Not that she'd probably ever find out...

"Uh, thanks for the food, I guess..."

Seifer gave him a look of curiosity mixed with confusion. (He's done that a lot lately...ever since the Sorceress' Knight thing..)

"The hell are you doing Chickie..?"

Zell hadn't even realized he was leaning in towards Seifer. He tried would've tried to quickly jump back, but Seifer still had a grip on his arm. "I....I dunno..." Zell muttered, still slowly leaning in.

"Zell! Seifer! You guys up there?

Seifer let go of his arm and Zell went over to the lift. "Heeey? The lift doesn't work, did you guys no that?"  Zell smacked his forehead and called, "Yeah, we know....Hey! There should be a lever somewhere near you..it says Emergency Release. Move it and see what happens!" The blond listened to muffled talking from below.

(Who's she talking to? Hmm..) He was about to call down and ask, but then the lift let out a creak and began to go down. A few moments later an excited Selphie with Quistis standing behind her arrived in the cockpit. The former instructor gave the two blonds an all knowing look before saying they should get back to Garden.

"Finally!" Zell muttered as he flopped down on his bed. "What a long day..."

He rolled his eyes as he heard the door open. "Sigh, I already told you Selphie, I'm not helping out with the Garden Festival right now, I'm too exhausted, alright?"

"You always were bad at making assumptions, Chicken-wuss."

Zell let out a groan and sat up. "What do you want?"

"That's no way to be treating me after what you tried to do on the Ragnarok earlier." Seifer said with a smirk.

Zell felt his face heat up like he'd been hit with a Fira spell. He looked down and started playing with his shoelaces as Seifer sat down on his bed. When he looked up again, the older blond was giving him that look of curiosity.

"Why do you keep lookin at me like that? You've been doing that ever since the Ultime---" Zell stopped when he saw the look Seifer gave him when he said her name. He gasped as Seifer grabbed the front of him and brought their faces inches apart.

"Don't you ever say that name around me." Zell nodded with wide eyes and breathed a small sigh of relief when Seifer let go of him. "Me and my stupid big mouth..." he muttered. "Why don't you put it to use?" Zell looked up, shocked. (What the hell?) Before he could ask, Seifer handed him a piece of paper and left the dorm.

Zell unfolded it to find only a few words scribbled down.

Secret Area, 23 hours. Don't be late, Chickie.

Zell began his walk to the Training Center, leaving about 20 minutes before Seifer wanted him there just in case he ran into a T-Rexaur. As he went into the Training Center, he sensed he wasn't alone. He headed towards the Secret Area, taking out a few grats along the way. As he was about to strike the finishing blow, the grat fell foward. Someone had attacked it from behind.

"Didn't think it'd go down that easy."

"Squall!" Zell grinned. He should've known the quiet leader would be here, he'd ran into him multiple times when he came to train late at night. The blond turned and picked up an item a previous grat had dropped and when he turned around, he was the only one there.

As he walked into the secret area, Zell realized he was still alone. He took a glance at his watch to see he had a few minutes until 23 hours. A few moments (that felt like hours) later, he heard quiet footsteps behind him. He didn't need to look to know it was Seifer; he'd recognize those footsteps anywhere.

"Always have to make an enterence, don't ya?" Zell grinned and Seifer stood next to him, resting his arms on the railing. The two stood in silence, looking at the Garden in the distance. It had been a long time since Zell had been out here, and he'd forgotten how far away the Secret Area seemed from everone else.

After Zell couldn't stand the silence any longer, he turned to Seifer. "S-say something, will you? You're worse then Squall!" Seifer smirked at that and said, "Would Squall do this?"  With that, Seifer leaned down and kissed Zell.

A few moments later he broke away and stared at a surprised blond. "Why...would you wanna do that to me?" Zell muttered. Seifer raised an eyebrow. "You don't treat me any different Zell..you don't act like I'm a disease and talk about me when I walk by." the taller blond replied. "What do you..oh, right, Ult..er...yeah. Wait..." Zell thought for a moment before going on. "You...called me Zell...not Chicken-wuss, or Chickie.."

Seifer grinned and leaned in again. Man, was he glad he broke that lift on the Ragnarok; he couldn't believe his luck.
