The idea behind subbing "WHM" is the concept of "backup curing". I know "backup curing" is a strange and foreign concept to NA players, so listen carefully! You might learn something!
"Backup curing" is the arcane art of being a BLM .... casting 'healing magic' spells. I know, it seems pretty zany: here we have the master of the elements acting like a prissy WHM casting cure spells. But it works, because healing magic skill means absolute shit in this game! Yes you read that right: your pitiful subbed Cure 3 will heal, at most, 25 HP less than a WHM's.
Get ready for a more radical concept: backup healing does NOT mean waiting until the tanks are dead and the melees are fleeing to zone to cast Cure. Backup healing means fucking helping out when the melees are bitching for Paralyna or Silena because the leader was stupid enough make a 4 melee/2 mage party.
Backup curing does not make you any less of a BLM. It does not suddenly shrink your penis or make you a healing bitch (that title is reserved for smn). You can still cast nukes!
If you're going to be useless and not cure at all, then do the world a favor and sub SMN. Not only does it provide an INT boost and Auto-Refresh, it's also a "gimp player" warning so others will avoid inviting you. Thanks.
