I finished reading
Vox Corporis the other day. It was one of the first Harry/Hermione stories I've read in years.
I basically left fandom since Book 7, haven't been on Portkey in 5-6 years, and anytime anything Harry Potter was brought up, it gave me a really bad ucky feeling. There was just too much anger and disappointment from the last two books that I couldn't deal with and the whole relationship between Harry and Hermione, though beautiful it was, seemed tainted.
Reading Vox Corporis really brought me back to the reason why I fell for this pairing in the first place.
miss_annthropic wrote the story beautifully, really captured the essence of their relationship. It gave me chills reading it, seriously. I hadn't felt that kinda love for HP since high school. It was everything I loved about them, the wordless communication by body language, the implicit trust, the steadfast loyalty, the protectiveness, the best friendness. I finished reading it and immediately wanted to go reread it, it was that good.
So, all in all, thank you,
miss_annthropic for rekindling that love for HP and Harry/Hermione for me. You're amazing.
