awesome comics of late

1 - XKCD: Click and Drag. From the stories, I expected the world to be sad. And it was. And I expected it to be wonderful. It was. I just didn't expect it to be so BIG.

2 - A Softer World: Freedom of Uncertainty. Having all the answers just means you've been asking boring questions.

3 - A Softer World: Maybe I'll learn a programming language instead or something. All I ever wanted was love, until you loved me.

4 - A Softer World: the shuffle of crabs on the ocean floor. Death is not the end. Death is an ocean on all sides of our lives. Deep and dark and cold, and anything but empty.

5 - PhD Comics: What is .... the Thesis? The way I want to look when I do my computer modeling. Hells yeah.

I had pancakes with strawberries this morning. Best breakfast ever. Me = learning how to live.

Also, reading a book called Math Girls by Hiroshi Yuki. All about girls who solve math problems. It's pretty awesome, actually, even considering the geekiness of someone writing about how to solve mathematical patterns. Girls can do math! Who woulda thought.

ETA: Amazing article here on PSY and the Acceptable Asian Man. PSY is the Korean pop star who wrote the song Gangnam Style that mainstream US has caught on. Very interesting article about how Asian pop stars are having trouble breaking into mainstream US music (hint, it's because of the Asian stereotypes).

america: land of stars and stripes, booklist, life is good, asian america, womynism, laughs out loud, ever stop to think?, race and ethicity, art without a frame, social justice thoughts, real world, quotes
