I might or might not have read some Jack/Norrington fic lately. I might or might not be looking for more.

Oh, blast it. I have and I am and I would appreciate any pointers to good authors, rec pages and the like. Oh and some PotC1 icons, too. I have no idea where to start looking for icons.

It's been ages since I've read Sparrington (they were my pairing of choice in 2003), so I can't help you out, but I might troll pirategasm later for you.

Also, people often post POTC1 icons at potc_icons. At the moment, it's heavily POTC3, but you can still find 'em here and there.

I guess I'm quite a bit late to start reading in this fandom now, what with the last movie and all... should have done so in 2003 ;)

But on the other hand - it's never to late for a new fandom, as long as it has good reliable archives.

I can't help beyond what PJ has, but wish I could! Sparrington is love. I stopped reading new stuff after DMC because it took a turn I didn't like, but the classic stuff from the first movie - delicious! Well worth reading, and probably there's newer stuff worth reading as well.

It is indeed! I've always saw the allure (I have a thing for men in historical uniforms...) but never felt the urge of doing something about it... until now, that is. I don't plan on reading much written after DMC, or at least much that is canon compliant - I just really disliked the film and am not at all interested in what could be done with it fic-wise.

Have a look at the Sparrington Ship Manifesto - it's a little out of date, but still has lots of relevant recs and links and stuff. :D

Awesome, thank you! I'm more or less looking for fic that is out of date - I dislike DMC and won't watch AWE, so I'm looking for stuff set after/during/before the first film and ignores canon after DMC was released.

I have bookmarked this new story. I'll check it out once it's finished: I don't read WsIP. I'm sure by the time it's done I'll know a bit more about the writing in the fandom, too.

I have been on her LJ - mostly checking out the art, but since I'm not really into manips, I didn't stay too long. I have Pirate Vindaloo bookmarked - next on my to-read list :D

(Mmmm... no... well, it's got some similar premises, but really, there isn't this really good vs. really ambiguous edge I think. More like ambiguous vs. ambiguous. But I know nothing about the fannish opinions, seeing as I have only started to actively reading in the fandom a week ago)
