Fic: You turn me upside down (I've lost the right side up) (The Prom)
Hello! Long time no see!
Since I am me, I had this particular idea in my head of what I wanted the opening story of my 100 Ships challenge to look like - as in, I figured it would only make sense to start with the ship I write the most, which is Alyssa/Emma. I had already a vague outline of a story which worked pretty well with the prompt, so that worked out perfectly!
Until I realised, after writing it all, that I wasn't sure about the pacing, wasn't sure whether it was too patchy, so I wanted my wife to look at it (and I refuse to hurry her up, she's got enough of a life to make her own decisions as to when to read my fics!). While I have been writing some other stuff in the meantime, I've been putting off posting any of it, because I really, really wanted to open with this story.

is a university AU, shockingly homophobia-free (I don't think I've ever written a The Prom story before that didn't deal with Alyssa coming out!), though definitely not drama-free. In this verse, Alyssa has sworn off love, only using sex as stress relief, when she meets Emma, who turns everything upside down.
