CSI

We've finished CSI! It feels really weird to have come to the end of, well, an era. Fifteen seasons! And I loved most of them (though don't ask me about the episode in which Sara is framed for murder, because I will rant for hours about how the team should have *had her back* instead of somehow assuming that because she was cheating, she was also capable of murder), and most of the characters as well.

I'm not sure about the series finale. Maybe it's harder to write a finale for these kind of procedurals, but I was a little - well, disappointed is a big word. I didn't hate it; I just didn't love it either. It didn't have that celebratory feel that I associate with finales, that sense of either completion or eruption or- I don't know, I can't quite explain it. It didn't have that Buffy or Charmed or even BBT feel. Of course, it also wasn't like the HIMYM finale, so there's that. I'm not a fan of what they did to Finn (never really liked the 'oh, it's a series finale, surely now we should kill someone' point of view that some series seem intent on taking), but I loved that Nick got his own lab to lead. You go Nick!

We're now watching CSI: Vegas, of course, more Grissom and Sara!! I'm unfortunately not a fan of the main storyline - the sabotaging, someone-out-to-get-you storylines always stress me out way too much, it's why I stopped watching The Good Doctor. But I just love having Grissom and Sara on my screen again, and they're married, and he calls her darling and honey and they've obviously learned how to communicate even if they still get on each other's nerves and <33333 I just love them a whole lot, okay?
Just watched the episode in which Sara manipulates the IA woman in giving Grissom a peak at the files and that was just- *chef's kiss* Perfection.

And after that, I can finally dive into fic!! I had a peak at AO3, and apparently the main pairing is Greg/Nick, which is- not what I expected (I'd thought it'd be Nick/Warrick, which it probably would have been if Warrick had been around for longer). I'm intrigued, though. Will definitely try that. Sara/Grissom in second place, which is mostly a surprise because my favourite pairings are only rarely the fandom's. All other pairings are much, much lower in numbers, so apparently those are the only two really populair ships.
Also had a quick peak at Morgan's rels, which are not many, but even worse, depressingly hetero. I really got a queer vibe from her. There's one entire Morgan/Finn rel on the archive. Maybe I'll just have to add to that, then.
