Today is not shaping up well...

10 signs that today is not going to be a good day:

1. I woke up three hours after my alarm.

2. I missed my morning run.

3. My English professor e-mailed us 5 more assignments to complete for tonight's class.

4. I understand none of the above assignments. Not to mention the ones she already assigned on Tuesday.

5. The last day to hand resumes in to the Vancouver Public Library was June 3rd. Today is June 9th.

6. My cat savaged one of my skirts while I was asleep. He left the remains on my pillow for me to see when I awoke.

7. My mom left a note for me to vacuum before I leave for school.

8. The vacuum is not working.

9. She will not accept that as a valid excuse.

10. My phone bill is astronomical. I don't know why as I never answer my phone. Ever. Ask any of my friends.

But on the bright side, no class for three days and I have the whole weekend off from work! I plan to spend the weekend in a comfortable state of vegetation. Perhaps if it is sunny, I can convince Andrew to go rollerblading around the seawall on Sunday. Apparantly, they've fixed up some of the more bumpy parts so it isn't so painful anymore.

And Saturday night is Irving's choir concert at Christ Church Cathedral! I love gospel music even if I'm not the biggest fan of religion. But gospel music takes the best parts of religion and not the scary cult, kill-in-the-name-of-god, confess-your-sins junk. Gospel music is all love and happiness and finding peace. And it's really funny seeing Irv inside a church. He used to cringe at the thought and now he seems almost at ease. It's amazing how music can bring about the most unlikely of results.

Hmm, I believe that I have taken a long enough break from my schoolwork. It's back to The (completely useless) Structure of Modern English, where I will learn more than I ever will need to know about diacritics, deixis and the dative movement.
