Back to reality...*sigh*

I had the best weekend ever and now I really don't want to go back to work. I was supposed to work at the library on Saturday, but my manager realized that we were going to be closed every other day of the long weekend so she gave me the day off. Paid. So I actually ended up having my first long weekend off since the summer! And I got to spend it with all my friends :)

After the OC on Thursday, Andrew, tobiuslau, paris_je_taime and I ended up going to the Grind and doing crosswords until 1:30 in the morning. So random. Since it was so late, I didn't bother going home that night and just stayed at Andrew's. It was awesome 'cause neither of us had to work on Friday so we slept in way later than usual. We spent the day working on his dirt-jumper (bike), driving all over the place for tools and various bike parts.

Later that night was my co-worker's birthday party and we went out for all-you-can-eat sushi. Yum. Almost our entire store (Starbucks) was there, even our manager who doens't usually come out with us. Nicole got very tipsy from her sake, and we spent the whole night talking about how she needs to just gather her courage and ask her crush out. He's a customer at our store and she's been infatuated with him since November. We are all threatening to interfere if she doesn't say something to him soon. We're so helpful :)

Saturday was the day that I was going to see babykarret! She arrived on the 12th and it was so nice to see her after four months of her being in Toronto. We went to Seb's, which was this awesome little cafe-type place that had live jazz from 7-10. And the food was so yummy... Aside from catching up with Karen, we also talked a lot about Katie's wedding. It's going to be this August and she still has a lot to do so there was lots of delegation (which I gleefully accepted) and discussion of flowers and decorations and...well, everything. It was so good to see Karen and Katie again because I rarely see them anymore, and any excuse to hang out with Andrew and Nattie is always welcome.

Then yesterday was my Shakespeare group brunch. We were supposed to watch the tape of our Lear performance and then discuss our play as well as the other four plays performed in our class but we mostly just sat around and ate and talked about everything except our class. We did watch our play, however, and I must say that for a load of non-actors, we did a very good job *preen* We had a Easter egg hunt in Ashley's living room; Nick and I staked the room out beforehand, so we found the most eggs of everyone :)

Because I work so much I rarely ever get to spend this much time with my friends so this weekend was amazing. I got to spend time with all the people I love and catch up with people I haven't seen in a very long time. Granted, I didn't get any studying for finals done but...meh, not as important.

I also just bought Sims 2 and proceeded to burn Draco and Ginny's house down. Draco woke up at 2am for some reason and started cooking. He obviously has never used a stove before. Sigh. So I decided it would be better to practice on a single character first before trying to keep two people alive. Draco and Ginny will have to wait a few weeks for me to learn how to play the game properly before I attempt to start their family. So much fun :D
