Summary: Steve's living through the aftermath of waking up and the Battle of New York. He needs someone in this confusing new world he can trust not to lie to him, or tell him only what they think he wants to hear.

Author's Notes: I started writing this to cope with the stress of quitting my job and moving, and then relocating and going back to school, etc. It got a bit out of hand. Technically Sara Tamblin is a Mary Sue, but she took on a life of her own as I was working on this, IMNSHO.
