Really, I know all the reasons not to, but I live in the middle of fucking nowhere. My options are severely limited and I'm just not able to totally avoid shopping at the closest, most well-stocked place.
I've gotten to the point where I buy C cups and stitch darts into them to make the cups smaller and fit better, though this risks a cone effect.
When I rule the world - there will be B cups for plus sized girls. Also, there will be decent hiking and outdoor gear for plus sized women. Seriously, try to get a nice wicking shirt or convertable pants/shorts in a 2X or 3X. Apparently fat women don't ever, ever, ever, ever go hiking or camping either.
of course not! We're too fat to do those things! If we'd just show some self-restraint and lose the weight, we'd fit into normal sized clothing. (What's that? How are you supposed to exercise and lose the weight if you can't buy clothes suitable for exercising in? Jeeze, fatty, don't blame me for your problems!)
*snarls*
On a more productive note, there are some comms and blogs around devoted to women sharing resources for plus sized clothing. Fatshonista.com which also has an lj community. You might be able to find some links.

Yeah, I have a whole rant about hiking/camping gear and being a plus sized woman. Appearently once you get close to 300lbs, you aren't supposed to wear anything except a housecoat while you hide inside where no one is forced to look at you - Hide your Shame! How DARE you want to go out and do things. And shorts in your size? Think of the Children! We can't have them exposed to flesh that jiggles!
It really pisses me off! (as I'm sure you can tell).
