Prompts!

I signed up to rec for stargateficrec for July. There's been a sad lack of SGA related posts over there lately. And for at least one month, none of my stories will appear there! heh. Actually I've never done it before and felt slightly guilty at being a freeloader ( Read more... )

Cam straightened behind her so she could see him in the mirror again. He'd taken off his coat, uniform jacket and tie earlier. Now he started unfastening the rest of the buttons of his blue shirt, though he was staring at her body in the mirror. "What were you laughing about?" he asked.

Ainsley started unpinning her hair. "I was imagining you dueling with Seth to defend my honor."

A grim look crossed over his face as it always did when her ex-husband came up. "Pistols at twelve paces?" he queried as he stripped off his white undershirt and then began unbuckling his belt.

"Something like that."

He kicked off the rest of his clothes and moved closer, so that he was pressed against her back. His palms skimmed over her hips and her belly before moving up. He nuzzled her neck, brushing her hair aside so he could nibble at the sensitive spot below her ear that always made her moan.

"What were you really thinking about?" His lips grazed her ear and when his voice dropped into that low register, especially that close, her knees always got a little weak.

She leaned against him. Cameron wrapped his arms around her tightly and she closed her eyes for a minute. This was the difference from her relationship with Seth, this almost primal desire for Cam to just never let go. Even standing there naked, feeling the evidence of his intentions against her backside, she felt safe and protected and loved. She needed this, needed him, in a way that she wasn't entirely in control of. Normally she hated that feeling, and she knew she was very lucky Cameron was a good and reliable man, because he could hurt her so easily.

But she knew he felt the same way about her.

She reached up and touched his cheek and he kissed her fingers. "I was thinking that I'm looking forward to being married to you," she told him. Then she turned in his arms and pressed her body against his, rewarded with his little grunt in response. "And I was thinking that it's really too cold to be standing around undressed."

He bent down and kissed her, then scooped her up in his arms. "Well, I'm pretty sure between me and all those extra blankets on your bed, I can get you very hot," he told her with a leer.

Ainsley just laughed. "I'm sure you can, your generalship," she teased as she drew him under the covers with her. Apparently some of his teammates had been calling him that ever since they heard about his promotion.

He groaned. "Remind me never to leave you alone with Vala, ok?" he said before kissing her again.

"I don't know," she told him, slightly breathless from what his hands were doing down below the blankets. "Vala had a number of interesting ideas about the wedding."

Cameron pushed her onto her back and settled himself on top of her. "That's it. We're eloping."

"Your parents would kill us. And so would Vala."

"My parents have met Vala. They'll understand," he told her.

Ainsley decided she was, for once, not really interested in talking more, so she played the trump card. "I already promised Lila she could be the flower girl."

Cameron sighed. "All right. Just keep Vala away from the minister. And the honeymoon suite. And everything else."

She rolled her hips against Cameron's and his eyes crossed, as they always did when she pulled that maneuver. He started to kiss his way down her body and she couldn't resist one last jab. "I don't know. I was thinking of making her my...oh... maid of honor," she panted out the last bit because of what his tongue was doing to her skin.

"Ain," Cameron growled against her belly.

"Yes?" she asked innocently.

"Shut up, honey."

She would've laughed, but he disappeared further under the blankets and sweat broke out all over her body as she arched into his touch. Then she smiled, realizing she had finally warmed up.

Aww, it's all sweet and just them. And it's always fun to see Ainsley happy after all the crap I'm putting her through. ;) For a pairing that started out with "ooh, pretty!" they've become remarkably well-matched.
