What do you like best about Doug: He's a great defensive player, the ball never gets away from him. He can play 1B, 2B, catch...he's got it all. And he's been hitting like a champ! He's got heart and soul, he's a real man...and let's face it; Doug's absolutely gorgeous. Where can I get one of those?!
I really like this livejournal, and I want you to know that in Boston, we love Doug already! From the first day I saw him in a Red Sox uniform, I knew he'd fit like a glove in Boston. Last week when he hit one back to the opposing bullpen, I knew he'd be hitting a homerun soon...and he did the other night! What a great player, a great guy. Doug, we're so happy to have you here! Overall, I think that Boston fans are happy to be rid of Nomar, and most people speak very highly of Mientkiewicz. He's a team player, yet he's clearly got his own identity (way to go, Doug!)
I love it; when I sport my Red Sox Mientkiewicz shirt, it gets so much attention...another excuse to bring up what a great player we've found in Doug. This team is tighter, we look happier, and we're gonna take it to the series, baby!
