I'm excited about this new community!! We can keep up to date with one of our favorite players!

Location: currently Minneapolis/St. Paul area, but in a month, Chicago (for school)
Whats your favourtie MLB team: Twins, Twins, Twins.... Red Sox come in second (happy about the fact that Doug was sent there) and then the good ol' Chicago Cubs
Favourite player: Dougie Mientkiewicz, Lew Ford, AJ Pierzynski, Joe Mauer, David Ortiz
Favourite pitcher: Johan Santana, Pedro Martinez, Juan Rincon
Favourite Baseball Memory: probably the day Doug made his debut as a Red Sox player. It was picture day at the dome and so we got to take pictures of players. two hours later, doug runs out onto the field wearing red socks instead of blue! but when he went up to bat for the first time, he received a standing ovation that lasted several minutes. he will always be loved here in minnesota!! another great game was the day after they clinched the division last year. all the players came out to home plate and they received a huge standing ovation!!!!
How many games do you attend a year: this year I've been to about 10 games and I'm for sure going to 2 more before I leave. hopefully more!
How'd you find us: looking at the MN Twins site and noticed this new community
What do you like best about Doug: his aggressivness on the field. he's probably one of the most under-rated first basemen, defensivly, in the league. he's an amazing fielder and should have won the gold glove last year. (hopefully, he can get it in Boston) he's not afraid to speak his mind and gives his whole heart into charity and community work. I love the fact that he wears the socks showing instead of wearing the pants down to the ankles. and who can forget the gum blowing?! he's an all around great player! and I wish him best in Boston!
