MOVIE!!!!
Okay so I'm a little behind on this one..but ...last Wednesday I went with a few friends to watch Letters From Iwo Jima...
It was really good....not too gory and at the end you get why the movie is called Letters from Iwo Jima...
It has Nino in it..and ...um..yea i can't remember the name of the boy band he is in...which if 'Bec ever found out she would hurt me....>.>'
But yea....um...The storyline has a bittersweet ending ..b/c well anyone who's taken a history class should know how it ends..i mean..yea
But the story is ALL from the Japanese point of view..which means real live japanese ppl speaking real live japanese which = subtitles..yep subtitles...keke and whoever translated the subs..er..yea got quite a few things wrong. My japanese is bad but I still noticed a few things that were mistranslated.
But it was a really good movie..sad...but good...and different b/c most our movies are from americans view points..i give it a 5 out of 5
so yea.....kekeke one of my friends that went to see it was Japanese..I asked him if he liked it..and what he thought, but he didn't really give me an answer..so I don't know if he liked how the Japanese were portrayed...
So all in all a good movie..but then again what do you expect it was produced by Clint Eastwood. So if you've ever seen any war movies he's done before..then yea you get the idea. ^^V
I do HIGHLY recomend anyone to go see it tho
