(no subject)
Oh I really have nothing to write about today, but it was just SUCH a beautiful day that it gave me instant happy. I woke up and threw open the windows and just went 'ah!'...drew a nice bath and then wandered up to the library to try and get 'tropic of cancer' but alas, it is only at the resevoir library.
Sam and I went to the gardening store to start to put into place our plans for the upstairs balcony..
get this! We're going to astro turf it, plant long pots of yellow and pink flowers and get some old school british lawn furniture and then string little lights above it, you know those tacky orchid ones? It's going to be a summer haven and the astro turf will be fabulous for sun baking on, not to mention at cocktail hour. We want to have a party but we need something to celebrate.
I've been invited to an 80's themed halloween party, and been told that my idea to come as Carrie hasn't been picked up yet. I'm excited. Yes. Just like I'm excited about seeing my first tsb boy gig in a month on Thursday!! How great! The sunshine does wonders for my state of mind.
I had a tremendous dance on Saturday, there was work dinner (because we won team of the year..yerrrr...) and then headed to the Hyatt with my homegirls Mel and Rachel, we didn't head to the club until 1..but then we saw Anthony Mundine and I yelled out 'Anthony' and pointed to my muscles, he just blew me a kiss and laughed. Then Rachel and I saw Paulini (yes, AUSTRALIAN IDOL!!!) crying in the toilets..poor poppet, I think they wouldn't play her song. I told everyone my name was Peaches, smoked marlboro lights and got free drinks because I speak French.
